Journey to Oz

There’s no place like…being on stage or playing a part in the story as it unfolds! In this fully interactive experience, you’ll be transported to Kansas, Munchkin Land, Emerald City, and other magical locations inspired by L. Frank Baum’s popular Oz book series. Get swept up in all the action with Dorothy and her friends as they battle the Wicked Witch to find the brains, the heart, and the courage they never knew they had.
Spoiler Alert! At each show, audience members will take on key roles like Munchkins, flying monkeys, and Dorothy herself (participation is optional).

The Invisible Boy

The 2019 high-spirited musical returns with the original heart and humor that made it a smash hit. Brian is no stranger to feeling invisible. His classmates don’t notice him or include him in games or birthday parties. All that changes when a boy named Justin arrives at school. Through a simple act of kindness, a new friendship forms. The two team up for a class project where Brian’s lively personality and vivid imagination shine for all to see. This production is a part of The Kindness Project.
Feel-Good Moment “I wrote The Invisible Boy to help young readers know that it doesn't take super-human efforts to reach out to others to make them feel visible, acknowledged, and accepted,” said Author Trudy Ludwig who first visited CTC in 2019.

Bessie Coleman: Fearless & Free

Born into a family of sharecroppers, Elizabeth Coleman’s life took root in the field but ascended to unbelievable heights in the sky. One of 13 siblings, Bessie weathered segregation, racism, and financial barriers before cementing her place as a pioneer in the field of aviation. Far above the clouds, where “the air is the only place free from prejudice," she blazed a path as Queen Bess, the first African-American woman and first woman of Native-American descent to hold a pilot’s license.
Did You Know? Bessie got her start as a “barnstorming” stunt flier. Barnstorming was a form of aerial entertainment where pilots performed daring tricks individually or in groups.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Filled with hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™ features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It’s an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special.

Topsy-Turvey Cinderella

The boisterous British Panto tradition bursts onto the stage with all the fervor and clownish comic silliness you can handle. Ostentatious costumes, magical medieval effects, and spirited songs put a preposterous spin on the classic Cinderella story. Get ready to ""hiss"" at the wicked stepmother, ""howl"" at her naughty, haughty daughters, and ""ooh"" and ""coo"" as our hopeful heroine undergoes a magical transformation. We're all guaranteed to have a ball!  After all, how else will our Cinderella meet her prince? 
Did You Know? Pantomime has its roots in 'commedia dell'arte', a 16th-century Italian entertainment which used dance, music, tumbling, acrobatics and featured a cast of mischievous stock characters.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show

A little egg lay on a leaf…a tiny caterpillar emerges, awakening with it an appetite to explore the world. From that moment on, The Very Hungry Caterpillar inches its way into our hearts as the literary classic comes to life along with three of Carle’s other stories: Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, and The Very Lonely Firefly. More than 75 puppets are featured in this colorful spectacle for the senses that’s sure to delight the child in all of us.
Fun Fact Author/Illustrator Eric Carle was inspired to write the story after using a hole punch that reminded him of a worm.

Did You Know? Esperanza is Spanish for hope. Author Pam Muñoz Ryan based the main character on her grandmother.
