Children's Theatre of Charlotte is proud to work with some of the finest theatre arts educators in the country. Their personal creative drive and professionalism inspire young people to excel in our camps, and in life. Our team includes theatre and education professionals who create inspirational and fun lessons for young people. Priscilla Bagley

Priscilla BagleyPronouns: She/Her
Priscilla Bagley is an internationally reputed Singing Voice Specialist whose roster include Grammy winners, Tony winners, Metropolitan Opera competition winners and Certified Platinum recording artists. She is an adjudicator for NATS National Musical Theatre Competition and a member of NYSTA, FMEA, NFfME and SAI. Priscilla holds a Masters (Music History and Literature) and Bachelors(Vocal Performance) degree. She has over 30 years experience performing internationally in opera, musical theatre, cabarets and concertizing with orchestras.

David Barnaba

David Barnaba has been involved in music for as long as he can remember. He's been teaching piano lessons since we has 16. Dave has been an elementary music teacher in Cabarrus County for 25 years! In addition, he has worked at CTC in Various roles since 2011!

PJ Barnes

PJ BarnesPronouns: He/Him
PJ has been working on and off the stage for over 20 years. He loves directing and choreographing musical theater, and has an overall passion for the arts. He has a background in filmmaking, comedy (Stand-up, sketch, and improv), as well as extensive work in the theatre. PJ graduated UNCW in 2010 with a concentration on performance! He looks forward to continuing to grow and learn while sharing his experience with the next gen.

Cooper Beck

Cooper BeckPronouns: He/They
Cooper Beck is ecstatic to be a Teaching Artist with Children's Theatre of Charlotte's Summer Camps! He has been with CTC as a Camp Counselor and OnStage Stage Manager. He recently graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A. in Individualized Studies in Theatrical Directing and Creative Design. He has had a heart for Children's Theatre since he found a home in it and volunteered as a Class Assistant when he was younger.

Melissa Borja

Melissa BorjaPronouns:
Melissa is a dancer and choreographer. She is the director of MultiKulti Dance. She had the opportunity to teach children through adulthood who have ranged in all levels & abilities. Her diverse background in dance has led her to train in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Salsa, and Zumba. She has more than six years of experience with choreographing competitive dance performances. She established MultiKulti dance to fuse all genres and cultural dance styles into one.

Gloria Boykin

Gloria Boykin is currently a Choral Music Education major at UNCG and a voice teacher. Although this is her first summer working with CTC, she has been involved with performing arts since she was in Kindergarten!

Haven Bradam

Haven Bradam is a professional theatre teaching artist. She graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Masters of Elementary Education in 2023, Franklin University with a Masters of Public Administration in 2020, Bowling Green State University in 2017 with a major in theatre and a speculation in youth theatre/puppetry/acting/directing and Sinclair Community College with an associates of theatre performance. Haven currently teaching at first grade and theatre to students 2-9.

McKenzie Coleman

McKenzie ColemanPronouns: She/Her
McKenzie Coleman is an elementary general music teacher who loves choral singing. Outside of the classroom, she directs the Opera Carolina Academy Chorus and sings as a member of the Opera Carolina Chorus and One Voice Chorus. McKenzie got her Bachelor of Music Education from Norfolk State University and has lived and made music in Charlotte since 2015.

Chase Coston

Chase Coston is a high school theatre teacher in Moore County, NC. He received a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BFA in Theatre Education from ECU. Olivia Edge

Olivia EdgePronouns: She/Her
Olivia Edge has worked as a professional actress and teacher for 25 years. You may have seen her frequent the stage performing at Theatre Charlotte, CPCC, and Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. She is a cast member of Charlotte Squawks, and a middle school teacher. Olivia is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where she earned degrees in theatre, English, and History. She is also the proud mother of two amazing teens.

Jailyn is an NC-based actor. She graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2023 with a BA in Drama and Media Studies. She recently completed performing with CTC's Resident Touring Company, in both School House Rock Live! and Danny, King of the Basement. She is excited about her first year of teaching.

Alexa Fields

Alexa FieldsPronouns: She/Her
Alexa is a Drama and Media Studies student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she has been a TYA (Theater for Young Audiences) performer in their play, Last Stop on Market Street. She graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and this is her first year working at CTC. She has always had a love for creating memorable theater experiences, as she has been a Blumenthal Junior Ambassador, and a volunteer usher.

Tommy Foster has worked as a theatre professional for over 30 years in regional theatre, cabaret, cruise ship, commercial, and tv. He has a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan and an MFA in Classical Acting from the Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting, He has one husband, two sons, six dogs, and a bird.

Anna GoldsteinPronouns: She/Her
Anna Goldstein graduated in 2021 from Winthrop University with a BA in Theatre Performance and a Minor in K-12 Education. Some of her favorite professional experiences include touring with CTC for their 2022-2023 season, teaching Performing Arts Camp at the Levine Jewish Community Center, performing at Carowinds, and bringing a variety of shows and experiences to life with Sigmon Theatrical. Gabrieal Gonzales is a professional opera singer and has been teaching general music for 20 years (K-12). He graduated from Texas Tech University with a vocal performance degree and Masters in Music. He holds teaching licenses in both Texas and North Carolina. He's directed musicals for CTC, including CATS Jr, for Onstage 2023 and Tomás and the Library Lady. He currently is starting a new music program for CMS at Piney Grove Elementary.

Jessi Little

Jessi Little is a professional actor and singer. She graduated from TCU in Fort Worth in 2013 with a BFA in Theatre. She has worked at theaters across the U.S. including: CTC (Charlotte), The Alliance Theatre (Atlanta), Village Theatre and Artswest Playhouse (Seattle), and New Village Arts (San Diego). Recently, she was the Kids Choreographer for last year's production of Need A Little Christmas at CPCC and taught throughout the Seattle region from 2014-2018.

Rasheeda Moore

Rasheeda MoorePronouns: She/Her
Rasheeda Moore is an acting instructor at Northwest School of the Arts. She graduated with a B.A. from Greensboro College, and earned her Master's from The University of Mississippi. Some past productions she has directed include: Xanadu (NWSA), Cabaret (NWSA), I and You (Theatre Charlotte), and Where Words Once Were (CTC Onstage). Rasheeda studied improvisation for ten years in Chicago, but she is happy to be back in Charlotte where her love for theatre began.

Sarah Provencal

Sarah ProvencalPronouns: She/Her
Sarah is a theatre director, educator, actor, intimacy choreographer, and sound designer. After getting her MFA in Theatre Pedagogy at Virginia Commonwealth University, she worked and trained in London, England and then found herself in Charlotte where she taught for Winthrop University for 8 years. She has directed for many theatres in and around the Charlotte area. She is currently a theatre arts teacher at Northwest School of the Arts.

Titus Quinn

Titus is a theatre teacher, director, and actor. He went to Winthrop University and studied a theatre education. He is currently the theatre director at Fort Mill High School. He has also worked at CTC for over seven years both in house management and the education department.

Stuart has 25 years experience performing and teaching improvisation. He moved to Charlotte to work with Charlotte Comedy Theater and House of Yes after working in Chicago and New York at such institutions as The Second City, Improv Olympic, and the Magnet Theater. He was a founding member of music improv troupe Baby Wants Candy.

Allison Roux is an Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Dance at Converse University. She earned her MFA in Dance (Choreography) from UNC Greensboro and her BFA in Acting from SUNY Fredonia. She recently wrapped production for a pilot for a comedy series, and is looking forward to filming two feature films this summer between weeks of teaching!

Kimberly Saunders

Kimberly SaundersPronouns: She/Her
Kimberly is an English professor at Central Piedmont Community College. She recently directed The Last Five Years at Old Courthouse Theatre as well as The Innocents with Post Mortem Players. This summer she will be performing in OCT's Ten-Minute Play Festival where her short play Toute Mort will also be featured.

Kyle Garrison Shawell is a multifaceted artist who blends choreography, performance, and arts integration through dance education. He excels in jazz and contemporary dance and is an A+ Fellow for North Carolina Schools/North Carolina Arts Council. He passionately shares his craft across the Carolinas while pursuing a Master of Arts in Dance Education at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.

Karen Steele

Karen SteelePronouns: She/Her
Karen graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. She has taught theatre education, dance, and music to children and adults for many years. While in Charlotte, she has worked for Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, the Afro-American Cultural Center, Arts Teach, Blumenthal Performing Arts, and Community School of the Arts. Karen believes that the class experience at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte helps children of all ages sharpen their theatre and life skills!

Ian has been a teaching artist with Children's Theatre for 21, in addition to being a high school theatre teacher and director. He is a National Jimmy Award winning Inspiring Teacher and has also travelled to Scotland with students to perform at the Fringe festival with a show he wrote with his brother!

He received his B.A. in Theatre Performance from UNC Charlotte and plans to go back to school to receive his M.P.A. #GoNiners! Some of his favorite credits include: These Shining Lives (UNC Charlotte), Toni Stone (Three Bone Theatre), A Soldier’s Play (Free Reign Theatre), and Young Frankenstein (Matthews Playhouse). He’s so excited for another camptastic summer!

Fun Fact/Hidden Talent: Miles has spent the last year on the road with CTC’s Resident Touring Company bringing Schoolhouse Rock Live! and Danny, King of the Basement to thousands of children! He can now say Rufus Xavier Sarsparilla with incredible ease because of it!

Hailey is a rising college sophomore at East Carolina University where she majors in theatre education. Hailey was a student at Children’s Theatre for 9 years and is excited for her first year as a counselor! Past productions include Annie (CTC), Mamma Mia (Cox Mill High School), and The Last Firefly (ECU SOTD).

Alexia is an award-winning children’s theatre director, stage manager, performer, and educator. Currently a rising senior at James Madison University, she is pursuing a degree in theatre with a concentration in theatre education. This is her first year with CTC and she is so excited for the rest of the summer!

Breana C. Venablé

Breana C. VenabléPronouns: She/Her
Breana C. Venablé received her Master of Fine Arts in Playwriting from Hollins University in 2018. She was a 2022 Creative Renewal Fellowship finalist which allowed her to write, and workshop her newest work, an Afro-futuristic memoir play and is a Resident Teaching Artist at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte.

Morgan Wakefield

Morgan WakefieldPronouns: She/Her
Morgan is a professional choreographer and actor! Having choreographed performers of all levels and ages, Morgan has also performed with CTC in Narnia: the Musical, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and Allie Kazan and the Magic Mansion. Other credits include Julius Caesar (Mark Antony), A Chorus Line (Judy), and Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel).
