Parking Options

Seventh Street Station

Recommended for public weekend performances. Located across the Lynx light rail line from ImaginOn, this parking deck has entrances on 6th and 7th Streets. For those attending our weekend performances, the deck offers free parking with a validated parking ticket after 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and all day Saturdays and Sundays. To receive free parking during these hours your parking ticket must be self-validated at the Box Office using the touch screen tablet mounted on the counter. Additional rates may apply during high-traffic events.

ImaginOn

Recommended for short visits. Limited parking is available in the parking deck below ImaginOn, accessible from 6th Street and open a half-hour after the building closes. There is direct elevator access from the parking deck to the ImaginOn entrance. Because there is only one exit, there may be delays when exiting if the lot is close to capacity. If you park under ImaginOn for a show when ImaginOn would otherwise be closed (typically Friday evening, or later shows on Saturday and Sunday), please exit the lot immediately following the show. As soon as all show traffic has exited, the deck will be locked for the night.

Surface Lots

Several "pay by the day" surface parking lots are located around ImaginOn: on the corner of Brevard and 7th St. across from First Ward Park, on Brevard across from ImaginOn, and on 6th St. diagonally from ImaginOn. LYNX Light Rail - Blue Line

The LYNX Blue Line operates 7 days/week along 26 stations from ​I-485 at South Boulevard to UNC Charlotte’s main campus in University City. Weekday service operates from 5:26 AM to 1:26 AM and service is available every 7.5 minutes during rush hour and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours. Weekend service operates every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during night hours.​​ ImaginOn is located directly next to the 7th Street Station. School Buses

Schools arriving by bus may drop off students at the front door of our building on 7th Street. A staff member will greet your bus driver and direct the bus to an appropriate parking place, free of charge. Because of our Uptown location, buses are often required to park offsite.

Special traffic considerations

If you're attending a performance when there is a Panthers game, Hornets game, Spectrum Center concert, or other Uptown event, please allow extra time for arrival. Click here for information on street closings which may affect your visit.
