Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is excited to launch our NEW EducationStage offering this summer - SummerStage! SummerStage takes our teen camp production experience to the next level, offering dedicated young actors the opportunity to participate in an intensive, 3-week, pre-professional musical theater rehearsal and performance experience led by industry professionals.
*Please note: There is no audition required to register, but there will be an audition prior to the start of rehearsal to place students in their roles.

It’s our show now, kid! This ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in this frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. A wacky theatrical party for all! Rehearsals will take place at ImaginOn, and performances will be in the McColl Family Theatre at ImaginOn on June 20 & June 21.

Much Ado About Nothing and Julius Caesar

Mon - Fri, 2-9 PM | Rising 8th - 12th Grade | Tuition $1,500
Rising 8th-12th Graders are immersed in a pre-professional rehearsal and performance experience aligned with the industry standards of producing theaters. Inspired by the repertory model of making theater, student actors will audition for 20 available spots in the company. After a four-week skill-building and rehearsal process, student actors will perform the two short Shakespeare works in rotation: Much Ado About Nothing and Julius Caesar.
Rehearsals will take place at ImaginOn, and performances will be in the Wells Fargo Playhouse at ImaginOn on July 25 & 26.

In “Roaring Twenties” Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap... until he finds out he's been duped and turns on Roxie. Convicted and sent to death row, Roxie and another "Merry Murderess," Velma Kelly, vie for the spotlight and the headlines, ultimately joining forces in search of the "American Dream": fame, fortune, and acquittal. Rehearsals will take place at ImaginOn, and performances will be in the McColl Family Theatre at ImaginOn on July 25 & 26.
*Students in grades 9-12 will have priority registration. 8th graders will be put on a waiting list and offered spots if they are available starting Mar 1..
