School Performances and Touring Shows
Whether your school comes to see a production, or we bring our award-winning shows and classroom experiences to you, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte is an exciting resource for your students. We offer school field trips to ImaginOn to see all our productions. We also bring the magic of theatre to schools, through our in-school programs or through a performance from our Resident Touring Company. School performances
Field trips to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte offer professional theatre productions for school audiences. Our home at ImaginOn features two state-of-the art theatres, and all Children’s Theatre of Charlotte productions align with curriculum set forth in the Common Core State Standards and the North Carolina Essential Standards.
With our convenient bus lane and attentive staff members, we make every effort to ensure a safe and smooth field trip experience for every school. Tickets for productions are $9 to $13 per person, which includes North Carolina sales tax. Adults, including teachers, must purchase a ticket, and a minimum of 20 seats must be reserved to qualify for the school group rate.

Since launching the program in 2007, Target has awarded more than $16 million in grants – providing 2 million students in all 50 states with the opportunity to enhance their studies in the arts, math, science and social studies.

Touring shows
Our Resident Touring Company has performed for more than one million children, in schools, community centers – towns big and small – across the Southeast, bringing smiles (and maybe a tear or two) to the faces of everyone it meets. Children's Theatre of Charlotte touring shows offer a completely self-sufficient, “turn-key” experience. The touring company handles all set-up, breakdown and is used to performing in a variety of spaces and situations.
