Award-Winning Summer Camps

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s Summer Camps offer experiences for students ages 3 to 18 in a fun, interactive environment.
Professional Teaching Artists lead campers in acting, singing, and dancing activities. Camps are grouped by age and offered at ImaginOn and satellite locations.

Our 2025 Summer Camps will go on sale to our Donors ($500+) on Wed, Jan 22; for our current Education families and season subscribers on Fri, Jan 24; and for the general public on Fri, Jan 31.

Early Childhood Camps

Ages 3-5
Camps meet Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 12 PM

These 1-week, half-day camps provide a fun experience for our youngest campers integrating music, art, and creative play to explore a story. Classrooms are transformed into imaginative worlds for each theme, engaging students on every sensory level. Each week closes with a sharing of activities and stories for family and friends.

Primary Camps

Rising K - 2nd Grade
Camps meet Mon - Fri, 9 AM - 3 PM*

*Aftercare is available for Primary Camps at ImaginOn.
These 1-week camps provide an imaginative outlet for this energetic age. Students develop foundational acting skills by rehearsing a story dramatization throughout the week while rotating through drama, dance, music, and art classes. The final day of camp finishes with a sharing of stories and songs for family and friends.


Performance Camps

Rising 3rd - 6th Grade
Camps meet Mon - Fri, 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM*

*Aftercare is available for Performance Camps at ImaginOn.
These 1-week and 2-week camps provide a fun-filled theatre experience. A short audition on the first day places students in appropriate roles. Camps rotate through music, acting, and dance activities daily. The final day of camp concludes with a performance for family and friends.

Summer Teen Studios
(Performance & Tech)

Rising 7th - 12th Grade
Teen Studios meet Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM + added hours on show days for 2-week Studios

These 1-week and 2-week studios offer teens an exciting and challenging experience in either performance or technical theatre training. Students are directed by professional theatre artists in their fields. Our two-week studios include two public performances on the final weekend.
