We are located between Brevard Street and the Lynx Blue Line Light Rail. ImaginOn faces E 7th Street and First Ward Park.

Driving north on I-77:
  • Take Exit 9 B - C to merge onto I-277 N/US-74 E
  • Use the right light to merge onto S College St.
  • Turn right onto E 7th Street
  • Cross the Light Rail tracks. ImaginOn is on the right
Driving south on I-77:
  • Take Exit 11A toward I-277 S/Downtown
  • Take Exit 3A toward Brevard St. & merge onto E 11th St.
  • Turn right onto N Brevard St.
  • Turn left onto E 7th Street. ImaginOn is on the left

Seventh Street Station

Recommended for public weekend performances.
Located across the Lynx light rail line from ImaginOn, this deck has entrances on 6th and 7th Streets. For ImaginOn visitors, the deck offers free parking after 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and free parking on Saturdays and Sundays. There is no free parking without validation. Your parking ticket must be validated at the welcome desk in the ImaginOn lobby. Additional rates may apply during high-traffic events.

ImaginOn Garage

Recommended for short visits.
Limited parking is available in the parking deck below ImaginOn, accessible from 6th Street and open a half-hour after the building closes. There is direct elevator access from the parking deck to the ImaginOn entrance. The first 90 minutes are free for ImaginOn guests with validation. After 90 minutes, additional rates apply. Because there is only one exit, there may be delays when exiting if the lot is close to capacity.

Surface Lots

Several "pay by the day" surface parking lots are located around ImaginOn: on the corner of Brevard and 7th St. across from First Ward Park, on Brevard across from ImaginOn, and on 6th St. catycornered from ImaginOn. The daily rate varies around $7 - $8 per day but may increase significantly during special events.

LYNX Light Rail - Blue Line

The LYNX Blue Line operates 7 days/week along 26 stations from ​I-485 at South Boulevard to UNC Charlotte’s main campus in University City. Weekday service operates from 5:26 AM to 1:26 AM and service is available every 7.5 minutes during rush hour and every 15 minutes during non-peak hours. Weekend service operates every 20 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes during night hours.​​ ImaginOn is located directly next to the 7th Street Station. School Buses

Schools arriving by bus may drop off students at the front door of our building on 7th Street. A staff member will greet your bus driver and direct the bus to an appropriate parking place, free of charge. Because of our Uptown location, buses are often required to park offsite.

Special traffic considerations

If you're attending a performance when there is a Panthers game, Hornets game, Spectrum Center concert, or other Uptown event, please allow extra time for arrival. Join our e-Club to make sure you receive our performance reminders with important weekend alerts and special offers!
