Sharings/Showcases
Every camp experience culminates with a Sharing or Showcase on the final camp day for family and friends; please plan accordingly as you will not want to miss this exciting event!
Aftercare for K-7th Grade
Aftercare is available for full-day camps at ImaginOn providing supervised activities for students until 5:30 pm Monday-Thursday. Tuition is $75/week. Aftercare is not available at satellite locations. Supervision is not provided for students not registered for this service in advance. Aftercare can be selected at the time of registration or may be added at any time by contacting Customer Service at 704-973-2838.
Scholarships
Full and partial scholarships are available to qualifying students for all camps.
Waitlists
To be waitlisted for a full camp fill out an online registration form and select your desired camp from the regular drop down menus. Although a form of payment is required, you will only be charged if you receive a call from Children's Theatre and accept an open space.
Rescheduling
If families find that they need to switch their camp after registering, they may call the Customer Service Center at 704-973-2838 to request a change. Adjustments may not occur after the refund deadline. Please be aware that switching camps is contingent upon space availability.
Refunds
The Summer Camp Refund Policy
allows for gift certificate credit or a tuition refund up to two weeks prior to the camp start date. Registration and handling fees are non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be granted after the indicated dates. To request a refund, please fill out our electronic Refund Request Form |

Early Childhood Camps
Early Childhood camps for ages 3, 4, and 5 provide a fun and exciting experience for our youngest participants. Campers use creative dramatics to explore a new story each day while integrating drama, music, art and creative play. Classrooms will be transformed into an imaginative world for each theme with tactile, visual, and auditory sensory integration. $125 per half-day, one-week session. Monday-Friday 9:00 am-noon.
- Bring a snack and a drink each day

- Students must be 3 by May 1, 2012 and potty trained

Primary Camps
Primary camps for rising K-2nd graders provide an imaginative outlet for this energetic young age. Students develop foundational acting skills by rehearsing a story drama with their classmates throughout the week while rotating to a drama, dance, music and art class. Camps follow the same structure; each title features different scripts and songs.
$255 per full-day, one-week session. Monday-Friday 9:00 am-3:00 pm.

Acting Performance Camps

Extended Musical Performance Camps
This two-week camp provides an opportunity for students to experience the excitement of producing a show. Campers will rehearse a popular musical production over two weeks culminating with a performance on the final camp day. A short audition on the first day places students in appropriate roles. $545 per full-day, two-week session. Monday-Friday 8:45 am-3:30 pm.

Teen Camps
Full-day camps for rising 8th-12th grade students offer a fun yet challenging experience for both new and returning students in a variety of theatre concentrations. Students rehearse with their classmates throughout the week culminating with a performance for family and friends. $275 per full-day, one-week session. Monday-Friday 8:45 am-3:30 pm.

Students rehearse scenes and songs from the popular musical Willy Wonka while rotating to music, art, dance, and drama class throughout the week.
Join us for some fun as we frolic with friendly fish and other creatures of the sea in our favorite underwater stories. Campers will make a splash with music, art and drama.
Take to the stage in this exciting week of music, art, dance and drama! Campers develop acting skills while performing entertaining stories and poems from popular children’s literature.
Discover the excitement of a one-week rehearsal process that takes the action from the page to the stage! Students rehearse one act plays while developing acting and performance techniques.
Campers join in the fun for some outrageous knightly tales. Exploring movement, drama, music and art students are sure to end the week “happily ever after”.
Take the stage while rehearsing scenes, songs, and choreography from some of Broadway’s best musicals. This week will develop and refine acting, vocal, and movement skills! Note: The Musical Theatre camp features different scenes and songs each summer so that campers may enjoy a new musical theatre camp experience each year.
It’s a veritable “Who Dun It!” Campers will stage a mystery, complete with detectives, clues and accomplices. Music, art, drama and movement will combine to reveal the mystery!
Join your favorite storybook monsters. When campers combine music, art, and drama every monster turns into a fun friend.
Swing through this week full of adventure exploring stories of monkeys and other jungle pals. Art, music, and drama complete this wild safari!
Students are sure to have fun performing the popular songs that exemplify Broadway! Through songs, scenes, choreography and art students will explore some of Broadway’s best. Note: Broadway themed camps feature different scenes and songs each summer so that campers may enjoy a new Broadway camp experience each year.
Enjoy a laugh at one of our most popular camps. Our skilled Teaching Artists lead students through exercises and games which encourage teamwork, concentration, and the creation of characters and scenes.
Are you ready to Gleek out?! Light up the stage with show tunes and chart-topping hits, as seen on season two of the popular television show, Glee. Students will unite through music and choreography to create their very own Glee Club which will outshine any singing competition!
Join us in the spotlight as feathery fables unfold on stage! Campers will combine acting, dance, music, and art to tell a variety of stories while shaking their tail feather.
Learn theatre techniques to help you shine! Campers will develop acting skills by exploring blocking, projection, characters and working with a script. Join the fun of putting words into action!
Students work alongside the professional technical staff at Children’s Theatre to explore and apply basic technical theatre skills including lighting, sound, set construction and costuming. As a culminating event on Friday at 3:00 pm, students will serve as the tech crew for this week’s 3rd-7th grade Performance Camp in the 570-seat McColl Family Theatre in ImaginOn.
Students rehearse scenes and songs from the popular musical Annie while rotating to music, art, dance, and drama class throughout the week.
This week of intensive training led by a teaching staff of professional actors is designed for experienced students providing an in-depth and challenging week of character and scene work. A variety of acting methods combine with advanced material to inspire the developing actor.
