School of Theatre Training
School of Theatre Training (SOTT) Classes are geared toward students who are dedicated to studying the skills and techniques of theatre. Students build theatre skills and techniques by moving through the levels of programming. Level 1 Foundation classes are designed to broaden students’ knowledge as a performer and introduce them to a foundation of theatre skills. As students move into Level 2 Core classes they deepen their understanding of theatre concepts while learning how to audition, create a headshot and build a resume. Level 3 Focus Areas are designed to immerse students to advanced acting and performing theories offering a variety of unique concentrations each year. Level 4 Intensive classes immerse students in the application of theatre disciplines. Level 5 Conservatory provides a comprehensive pre-professional, college-preparatory training program for students in grades 9-12. Students who participate in SOTT are invited to audition for OnStage, a unique performance opportunity. At the end of the year-long training program, students participate in “Showcase Week”, demonstrating the work done throughout the year. Students who participate in the School of Theatre Training are eligible to participate in OnStage. |
